Although born in Buffalo, New York, Tom Spoon spent his formative years growing up in the Sunshine State of Florida. He came to St. Louis when his parents moved here, and graduated with his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri, St. Louis.
Then it was on to the St. Louis University School of Law for his law degree. After working briefly for a law firm in St. Charles, Missouri, Tom joined the firm in 1983 where his considerable experience benefits our clients in the areas of family law, traffic, and criminal defense. Additionally, Tom is the Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Breckenridge Hills, Missouri. He also finds time to ride Harleys with Steve.

Kim Blankenship, Emeritus, was born into a military family and lived his early life in several different states and even on the Island of Okinawa. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri, Columbia, his law school education was interrupted when he joined the United States Army.
Kim served “in the country” in Vietnam where he was awarded a bronze star for meritorious service. After completing law school at Missouri, he joined the firm in 1975 and serves as our managing partner.
Kim concentrates in the areas of probate, estate planning, small business and real estate law.

Steve Jianakoplos, Emeritus, hails from Alton, Illinois, where he tagged along to court as a kid with his father, a lawyer and a judge. He was an Illinois Scholar to Trinity College, Connecticut. He then returned to the St. Louis area and graduated Cum Laude from the St. Louis University School of Law. Steve joined the firm in 1981 and represents our clients in the areas of personal injury law and worker’s compensation. He also serves as the Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Rock Hill, Missouri. Steve spends some of his free time exploring on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
